Fayetteville hosts the 2025 Usa Cycling Cyclocross national championships

We are proud to call Fayetteville home. A place where you can be in a road group in the morning and on singletrack by lunch time. Fayetteville has been the venue for everything from grassroots bikepacking events to nationally recognized road races and world class mountain bike events. December 10-14th of this year Fayetteville will host the US National Cyclocross championship that will pull some of the best riders from around the world to our back yard.

Making the trip to Centennial Park to watch the races? Here are some of our must experience items that will have you feeling like a local.

Housing- Fayetteville has loads of Air BnB options as well as some very nice hotels. The Stonebreaker Hotel is nestled perfectly on Markham Hill nestled in the trees quite nicely. For me, the most appealing part of this hotel is not the restaurant with great reviews or the vibe of the outdoor amenities, it’s that you can ride singletrack right from the hotel, under the interstate, right to the race venue without ever needing to hit a real road or deal with vehicles.

Coffee- Now that you have your housing figured out, let’s get caffeinated. Puritan Coffee and Beer is my number one coffee shop in Fayetteville. The founder of this Dickson Street staple is an avid cyclist who values relationships and community over trying to sell an overpriced product to make a quick buck. This place has soul and you can feel it. With plenty bike parking, a large patio overlooking Dickson, and an extensive coffee, beer, and wine menu, Puritan is a must stop for me.

Food- The venue is super close to a ton of drive through and quick grab options if you are looking to lock in and stay at the races for as much time as possible without straying too far. However, if you are looking for a solid lunch within 10-15 minutes I would have to suggest Petra Cafe just off the downtown square. The footprint is super small but the Mediterranean food is incredible. You are basically sitting in the kitchen with the servers and cooks and it almost feels as if you are in someone’s home. Every time I have been there is a classic movie from the 80s-90s playing on the tv in the corner.

Beer- Fossil cove is a local brewery that has a really nice spread of dino inspired beer options. From heavy to light they have it all. Columbus House is also a cool option for a more intimate setting where you can sit down at one of the small tables and play one of their many games or check out their newly added patio area for some fresh air just off the Razorback Greenway.

Bike Shops- Now, closer to home. While we don’t have a customer facing retail space, we do work with some awesome folks who do. While Fayetteville is home to 6 or so bike shops, I will narrow it down to two that are near the venue and also offer a great customer experience. The first is going to be the newly opened Smokehouse Cycles. Smokehouse is a small owner run bike shop just a mile or so away from Centennial Park that has taken over the somewhat historical smokehouse building just at the base of Mt Kessler. They are very hands on in the Fayetteville cycling community and put in a ton of blood, sweat, and tears into making sure that they foster a community and not just sell things. They also have beer! Second is going to be the Meteor bike shop and cafe. With locations in Austin, Dallas, Bentonville, and now Fayetteville, the Meteor is no stranger to the elite cycling community. The cafe has an extensive list of food, coffee, and beer and the bike shop is just a few steps away offering quick service and some boutique bike frames and finishing kits that you may not see in person at many other local shops.

Carbon Repair- Obviously we do a ton of our business locally but we also have a nation wide presence working with riders and shops across the country. If you are a customer, shop owner, or just a rider curious about what we do and how we do it, shoot us an email and we would be happy to meet up at the race, or sit down and have a coffee and chat! We will likely also be doing some group rides to commute to and from the race venue so if you would like to hop in don’t hesitate to reach out for the details
