We do more than just fix bikes that have been damaged. Sometimes we are using our carbon fiber repair techniques to allow riders to use their bike exactly as they want to. Sometimes that means increasing the clearance to allow for bigger tires, in this case our rider wanted to use a direct mount top tube bag to eliminate the need for straps which tend to move around quite a bit and cause damage to the paint. Since this frame was not intended to have holes drilled in it we needed to reinforce the drilling area to provide a solid foundation for the inserts to expand into. Post install we taped and painted gloss black to bring this top tube back to its pristine condition.
